The APS has two classes of membership - scientific and corporate.

Scientific - Join online
Annual membership is $65 for full members and $20 for student members including GST. There is an initial joining fee of $35. Should a member allow their membership to lapse, the joining fee will be reapplied when they take up membership again.
Annual subscription fees become due in December of a given year. Members have the option of using the online link to renew their membership, or alternatively can have their membership included in their registration to the annual Symposium. Those opting to do the later should ensure they register before the end of December to ensure they have continuous member status.

Membership benefits include:
- Membership registration rates for any APS meetings (this includes 2011 Lorne Proteomics symposium if registration is made before November 21st 2010.)
- Access to the Society Forum page
- Regular newsletters about issues for Proteomics researchers
